Engels plaatwerk is binnengekomen dus het was weer even aanpoten afgelopen zondag. Is het ook meteen mooi weer met temp rond 10C, dus is het in de loods prima uit te houden. Meteen maar flink wat overtollig -en ook roestig- plaatstaal weggeslepen en -gezaagd met m'n nieuwe carosseriezaag op lucht. Gaat als door de boter zo'n ding. Beetje dom dat ik 'm even later op z'n neus de betonnen vloer liet aantikken waardoor meteen het eerste zaagje afbrak. One lost, two to go ... Rond een uur kwam ook Robin nog langs. Heb hem meteen aan wat proefstukjes met laswerk gezet. Na een paar pogingen ging het best goed. Het resultaat van vandaag: Het binnenwerk van de wielkast rechtsachter zit nu op z'n plek, het voorwerk voor hetzelfde deel aan de linkerkant is gedaan (plaatwerk weggehaald), de binnendorpel bij de twee zijdeuren zit er nu in en verder nog wat laswerk afgemaakt op andere plaatsen.

The sheet-metal from UK arrived this week so last Sunday we could really make a difference. Temperatures are pleasant; around 10C, so work in the barn was pretty comfortable. Grinded and cut away lots of old sheet metal to make room for the new parts, the rear inner wheel wells. The one on the right, for which Henk did all of the preparation, is already in its place, although I have not completely finished welding on it yet. Bit stupid that I dropped the new air-driven metal saw on the floor, costing me the first of the three saws that came with it. Besides; that's a great tool; it cuts the metal like a knife in butter. Around 1:00 my son Robin arrived in the barn. I had him practice welding for the first time, so that he might do some work on the bus later on ...
