Last week I took the poptop (... with the ugly square hole in it ...) to Holthausen Composites in Zevenaar. I was there earlier this year, in May, but while they were very busy at that time, they advised me to try again in the fall. No problem ... I wasn't in a hurry anyway and neither was I about to fix it myself. It has to be done correctly and I've seen a lot of clumsy repairs on polyester parts. The poptop is a very visible part of my bus, so I prefer to have it fixed by professionals.
Andere camper(s)
(verkocht!!!)
Other Camper(s)
Meanwhile I have been searching the web for a ""temporary"" classic camper for next year. (Mind the number of quotes ...). Between these searches I obviously came across other makes than VolksWagen of course. A bus that I liked a lot was this Mercedes O 319 from 1959. They appear to be very rare, although prices arer usually a lot lower than most of the splitties. Probably harder to get spare parts ... The one on the top two photos wasn't for sale, the one on the third photo was sold only recently ...
